Do you take part in credit committees on loans for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs)?

Are you planning to be involved in decision making on MSME loans in the near future?

Are you involved in decision making for different small business segments?

The course "Making decisions on MSE loan applications" has been designed for employees of financial institutions who make decisions on loans for MSMEs. This course would also be useful for other participants of the lending process.

The information required for effective work of a credit committee member on MSME loans is presented in the course in a systematic, step-by-step manner.

Upon completion of the course, you will learn and understand:

  • the components of the decision making processes and their specifics for each of the MSME segments;
  • the key aspects to be taken into consideration at the initial stage of working on a loan application;
  • why and when stop factors should be applied;
  • how to review the quality of client information;
  • the importance of reviewing both financial, and non-financial information on the client;
  • how to analyse loan resumes and initial documents with an aim to identify credit risks;
  • how to assess the client’s credit risks;
  • how to make lending decisions;
  • how to structure a loan transaction.

The course consists of six lessons.

Upon completion of the course, you will be offered a final test. Based on the test results, an electronic certificate of the course completion will be issued.

The average duration of the course is 3-4 weeks. Each lesson takes 45 minutes on average. We recommend studying one or maximum two lessons per week.
