This online tutorial is designed for further strengthening knowledge learners gained when undergoing the "Microlending basics" online course. This tutorial dwells on practical aspects of compiling Cash Flow (Cash Flow) and Profit and Loss Statements (P&L) as well as on their differences. The purpose of this tutorial is to help learners develop the skill of applying theoretical knowledge in practice by completing a number of practical assignments.

The main objective is to help learners better understand the difference in approaches to the compilation of Cash Flow and P&L and practice their compilation on the basis of different case studies.

All case studies presented in the tutorial involve typical small businesses operations in the field of trade or services. The assignments were developed on the basis of real business cases in MSE lending in different countries.

For all tasks, currency units are abstract units and not associated with any specific currency.

This tutorial includes six case studies. At the end of the tutorial, you will be offered a self-test. As the tutorial supplements the online course “Microlending basics”, no separate certificate/statement of completion is provided for the tutorial.

The total average time to complete the tutorial is 1.5-2 hours.

You will need a calculator to perform calculations.
